On August 17th, HEVI Corp had the privilege of attending the 2022 Maryland Association of Counties Summer Conference – MACo Con!
With our gear in tow, we headed to Ocean City, MD to set up our booth at the Roland Powell Convention Center alongside thousands of other amazing organizations to present to local government leaders! Organized by the Maryland Association of Counties, MACo Con presents an opportunity for county leaders to explore resources available for recovering and struggling businesses, creative ways to achieve common goals, and partnerships available to take Maryland communities from “surviving” to “thriving.”
The HEVI team had a great time meeting everyone who stopped by the booth. They even had the honor of meeting the Maryland Gubernatorial Candidate Wes Moore, 9th Lt. Governor of Maryland Boyd K. Rutherford, and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott who all learned about our efforts to bring electrification and sustainability to the heavy equipment industry. HEVI is pioneering ways to reduce emissions from the Industrial sector, which represented 24% of all greenhouse gas emissions from the United States in 2020, and we’re always glad to be able to share our vision with others.
Of course, the 2022 MACo Summer Conference was particularly important to HEVI as we continue efforts to develop an electric equipment assembly site in White Marsh, Maryland. We felt very welcomed by all in attendance, and look forward to engaging with the local community and helping to promote sustainability in the state of Maryland!
