On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey hosted the Fleet Sustainability Expo at Newark Liberty International Airport. The event drew in industry leaders, innovators, and sustainability advocates from across the globe. The expo was supported by an impressive coalition including Quebec, NJ Transit, New Jersey Clean Cities, MTA, NYC DCAS, and Empire Clean Cities. This group underscored a collective commitment to a sustainable, zero-emission future.
Navigating Towards a Zero-Emission Future
The Port Authority highlighted their commitment to the long-term sustainability of the New York and New Jersey region. The Port showcased their commitment to sustainability with a complete line up of environmentally-focused exhibitors. This includes a recent purchase of HEVI’s electric wheel loader, the GEL-5000. Additionally, the PANYNJ has a goal to reduce site emissions by 35 percent and 50 percent in 2025 and 2030 accordingly. As a result, their dedication to sustainability is well on its way to achieving their zero-emission goal.
HEVI’s Impressive Showcase
HEVI was proud to be among the exhibitors at this prestigious event. We had an opportunity to showcasing our cutting-edge solutions aimed at reducing emissions in fleet operations. Overall, we presented two key displays that captured the attention of attendees:
1. Electric Wheel Loader – GEL-5000: Our electric wheel loader, the GEL-5000, was a star attraction. Our innovative construction machine delivers high performance with zero emissions. Offering a sustainable alternative to traditional diesel-powered loaders.
2. Versatile Charging Solutions: We highlighted our versatile chargers that connect to either 480V or 220V outlets. Easy to use and integrate into any job site across America. As a result, these chargers will alleviate the challenges of adopting electric equipment. Thus, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration into existing infrastructures and fleet operations.
In addition to our main displays, we had a small table inside the venue, providing attendees with detailed information about our products and their benefits. Furthermore, as you’ll see in the gallery below, our table was placed next to a welding outlet, which was a great call-out to talk about our 220V charger in many industrial applications.
