On Tuesday, August 23rd, Baltimore County, Maryland, welcomed HEVI at the grand opening of our first assembly site.

Speaking in his opening remarks, HEVI CEO Raymond Wang highlighted the company’s accomplishments.  “They said it couldn’t be done.  Yet, here we are today with these wonderful, wonderful pieces of equipment that are going to revolutionize job sites and construction sites across the nation.”

Although developing the equipment itself was a huge win, make no mistake – this new assembly site represents the first step in showing the world that HEVI equipment isn’t just electric, it’s American.   The 54,000 square-foot facility will create nearly five dozen jobs in the local community, where staff will be responsible for assembling our heavy equipment.  A major milestone in our development, we’re excited to continue growing and contributing to Baltimore County.

There were a number of Maryland and Baltimore County officials as well, who came through to wish the team well and make a few remarks.

“I think we are standing in the midst of something special […] as you (Raymond) and your team plant your flag here to start the heavy equipment green revolution, where we’re putting high quality jobs in place, but we’re also literally saving the earth and that’s a confluence that we can all, and should all, get behind.” Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski said.  Also attending and speaking at the event were Maryland’s Secretary of Commerce Mike Gill, State Senator Kathy Klausmeier, Delegate Rick Metzger, Councilmember Julian Jones, and Councilmember Cathy Bevins.
